Okay, so, like...I've heard the song "Manic Monday". But I didn't know it was by the Bangles until I put on the album of theirs I bought for cheap yesterday and was like, wait, it's that song about Mondays... *facepalm*

Moving day at the office

First two shots are my old desk in various stages of packing up. Third is my new desk - lots smaller, but I kinda like it. We'll be getting cork boards on the walls to decorate. Last two shots, our new space. Way smaller, we'll see how that works out. Five people in this area. Good thing we all like each other! And really, we were only using about half of our old space. We're moving in with our sister company - let's see how long it takes for us to drive them insane. Because we're insane.

Music Classification Question

Is there a name for the style of music that nearly buries the vocal in the guitar and drum, so that the vocal almost becomes just part of the music instead of a thing of its own? The guitar also tends to create a solid sound, at least in parts, rather than play distinct individual notes. Examples off the top of my head: The Raveonettes, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Viva Voce, Vivian Girls.
